HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1991-226CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a rep-ular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 22nd day of April 1991. The following members were present: _Mayor Berman Coun ilmemb rs Helliwell_ Ricker_ Vaciliou and Zitur ' The following members were absent: None Councilmember Helliwell introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91-226 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID NORTHCENTRAL TRUNK SEWER - PHASE I CITY PROJECT NO. 015 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement of Northcentral Trunk Sewer, Phase I, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL B n Glendale Contracting, Inc. $ 335,752.00 Northdale Construction 430,651.20 Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. 441,127.60 Richard Knutson, Inc. 477,633.10 WHEREAS, it appears that Glendale contracting, Inc. of Plymouth, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: I. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Glendale Contracting, Inc. of Plymouth, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the Northcentral Trunk Sewer, Phase I according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of the low bid of $335,752. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereo , the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Bergman, Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, Vasiliou, and Zitur ' The following voted against or abstained one Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
