HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1991-164CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 18th day of March , 1991. The following members were present: , 1jayor Bergman, Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, Vasiliou, and Zitur , The following members were absent: None Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 91- 164 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT 1990 STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROGRAM CITY PROJECT NO. 001 WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of: Streets within an area south of 29th Avenue North, west of Jewel Lane, north of 25th Avenue North, and east of Urbandale Lane, also an area south of County Road No. 9, west of State Highway 169, north of 36th Avenue North, and east of Union Terrace Lane, and an area south of 26th Avenue North, west of State Highway 169, north of 17th Avenue North, and east of East Medicine Lake Boulevard within the City of Plymouth, MN. by the installation of reconstructed bituminous street with repair of concrete curb and gutter and the installation of new bituminous streets with concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer and all necessary appurtenances, and the contract price for such improvement is $1,875,135.15 and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $300,718.15 so the total cost of the improvement will be $2,175,853.30 and of this cost the City will pay $1,318,645.80 as its share of the cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $857,207.50. 2. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be special assessed from such improvement against every accessible lot, piece of parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by the law, and shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office for public inspection. 4. The Clerk shall upon completion of such proposed assessment notify the Council thereof. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Vasilioy and upon vote being taken thereon., the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Berman, Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, Vasilio , and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: _ NOne Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
