HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1991-113CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 4th day of March, 1991. The following members were present: Mayor Bergman Co n +iMmmbtgr. Helli Al Ricker, Vasiliou, and Z.itur — The following members were absent: None Mayor Bergman introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 91-113 APPROVING MIXED PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT PLAN CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AMENDMENT FOR RYAN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR "WATERFORD PARK PLAZA" (90078) (MPUD 86-1) WHEREAS, Ryan Construction Company has requested approval for a Mixed Planned Unit Development Plan and Conditional Use Permit Amendment to increase the wall coverage of signs from 5 percent to 10 percent of the wall to which they are attached for Waterford Park Plaza for property located at the northeast corner of 6th Avenue North and Revere Lane except "Rainbow Foods"; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Hearing and recommends approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Ryan Construction Company for a Mixed Planned Unit Development Plan and Conditional Use Permit Amendment to increase the allowable wall coverage of signs from 5 percent to 10 percent of the wall to which they are attached for Waterford Plaza Shopping Center at the northeast corner of 6th Avenue North and Revere Lane except for Rainbow Foods, subject to the following conditions: I. The permit is subject to all applicable codes, regulations and ordinances, and violation thereof shall be grounds for revocation. 2. The percentage of building wall allowance to be covered by signage shall be 10 percent of the building wall to which the signs are attached, consistent with the plan dated February 13, 1991 which indicates the wall areas that are eligible for the higher percentage. This plan is the basis for the PUD Plan Amendment on a finding that no signage will be permitted on specific walls to balance an increase from 50 to 104 on other walls. 3. The Conditional Use Permit Amendment is in compliance with the Conditional Use Permit Standards of Section 9 of the Zoning Ordinance. 4. A revised detailed Master Plan required by ordinance shall be submitted to and approved by the Building Official, prior to issuance of any further sign permits. The narrative signage criteria provided by Ryan to the tenants shall become a part of the Master Sign Plan and filed with the City of Plymouth.
