HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1991-054CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 28th day of January 1991. The following were present: Mayor Bergman, Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, and Vasiliou The following members were absent: Councilmember Zitur Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO -91-54 ADOPTING ASSESSMENT 1990 WEED ERADICATION AND DESTRUCTION, ROLL 2 WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met and heard and passed upon all objections to the proposed assessments for 1990 Weed Eradication and Destruction, Roll 2 charges as provided by the City Ordinances and has amended such proposed assessment as it deems just; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part thereof, is hereby accepted and shall constitute the special assessment against the land named therein and each tract of land herein included is hereby bound to be identified by the amount of the assessment levied against it. 2. Such assessments shall be payable over a period of one year. 3. Assessments may be paid in full to the City of Plymouth Finance Director by February 27, 1991 without additional charge. After February 27, 1991 daily interest charge based on an annual rate of 8.00% starting on January 29, 1991 will be due in addition to the levied assessment. The last date a payment can be accepted by the City of Plymouth is November 15, 1991. After that date interest shall be added from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1992 and payment can only be made to Hennepin County with the 1992 property taxes. 4. The clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be extended on the proper tax lists of the county and such assessments shall be collected and paid over the same manner as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the 1990 Weed Eradication and Destruction, Roll 2 charges assessed by this resolution are $6950.68. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by -Mayor Bergman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Bergman, Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, and Va-01 inH The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
