Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 7th day of January
1991. The following members were present: Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker,
Vasiliou, and Zitur
The following members were absent: Mayor Bergman
Councilmember Helliwell introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 91- 3
AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF DRAINAGE EASEMENTS FOR PONDING IN
LOT 2, BLOCK 1, RIDGECREST 3RD ADDITION
WHEREAS, a petition was received to vacate a certain drainage easement for ponding in
Lot 2, Block 1, Ridgecrest 3rd Addition; and
WaEREAS, a r ubiii hearing with respect to said vacation was scheduled for January 7,
1991, in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851 as amended; and
WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was publis:ied and posted two weeks
prior to the meeting of January 7, 1991; and
WHEREAS, all property owners adjacent to the proposed vacation were duly notified by
mail; and
WHEREAS, ouncil did hold a public hearing on January 7, 1991, to inform any and
all interested parties relevant to the vacation of a certain drainage easement for
ponding in Lot 2, Block 1, Ridgecrest 3rd Addition; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that said easements were not needed for
public purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE :tT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA: That the following drainage easement for ponding purposes be vacated:
Commencing at a point on the westerly line of Lot 2 distant 122.00 feet
southeasterly along said westerly line of the most westerly corner of said
Lot 2 to the southeasterly line of said easement; thence north 61 degrees,
14 minutes, 40 seconds east assumed bearing along the southeasterly line of
said easement 6.05 feet to the point of beginning of a tract of land to be
herein described; thence north 21 degrees, 23 minutes, 46 seconds west 46.65
feet; thence north 74 degrees, 06 minutes east 80.00 feet; thence south 43
degrees, 53 minutes, 23 seconds east 29.49 feet to said southeasterly line;
thence south 61 degrees, 14 minutes, 40 seconds west along said
southeasterly line 91.67 feet to the point of beginning, all in Block 1, Lot
2 Ridgecrest 3rd Addition according the recorded plat thereof Hennepin
County, Minnesota.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
_Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Councilmembers Helliwell. Ricker. Vasiliou, and Zitur ,
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
