HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1969-184EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF VILLAGE COUNCIL OF VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth was held on the 10th day of June, 1969 at the Village Hall, 13600 State Highway No. 55 commencing at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following % mbers were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Humphrey, Hintz, Johnson and Sindseth. The following members were absent: None. itttr *ft* *i,r Councilman Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 69-184 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A SEGMENT OF THE COMpREHENSAVE MUNICIPAL PLAN RELATING TO THE CENTRAL PORTION OF THE VILLAGE WHEREAS, the Village Council has caused to have prepared a pro- posed Comprehensive Guide Plan relating to zoning, land use, thorough- fares and related matters covering a portion of the central area of the village and, WHEREAS, said proposed Guide Plan has been revieved"and studied by the Planning Commission and the Village Council since its publication and, WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of April, 1969 a public hearing was held regarding said Guide Plan, all pursuant to lav and due notice thereof, and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the Village of Plymouth, did recommend at its special meeting of May 14, 1969 the formal adoption of said Guide Plan by the Village Council, NOW THEREFORE, THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1. That certain Urban Design Study Preliminary Plan and map prepared by Midwest Planning and Research, Inc. and dated as of March, 1969 covering those areas of the Village within the boundaries set out in Paragraph 2. below as amended and as sham on the Guide Plan map is hereby adopted as a portion of the Comprehensive Guide Plan of the Village of Plymouth for such areas. 2. The following represents the boundary lines of that portion of the Comprehensive Guide Plan hereby adopted: (all references to section numbers are within Township 118, Range 22) Westerly Boundary Commencing at the intersection of Niagara Lane and the right of way of the Minnesota Western Railway in Section 33; thence North along Niagara Lente as extended to the Northwest (Nil) corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section 16. Page 2 Resolution No. 69-183 Northerly Boundary Commencing at the Northwest (NW) corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section 16; thence East along a line parallel to the South lines of Section 16, 15 and 14 to Larch Lane. Easterly Boundary Commencing at the intersection of Larch Lane with the line last described above (being the Northwest (NW) corner of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of Section 14); thence South along Larch Lane as extended to a point in Medicine Lake due East. measured at right angles, from the inte[sec UOn of West Medicine Lake Drive with the East line of Section 22; thence West along a line parallel to the North line of Section 23 to a point of intersection witii said West Me.Lc:ine Lake Drive; thence Southeasterly (SE) along West Medicine Lake Drive to its inter- section with the South line of the North one-half (N 1/2) of Section 23; thence West along said line to Pineview Lane; thence South along Pineview Lane as extended to State Trunk Highway No. 55; thence southeasterly (SE) along State Trunk Highway No. 55 to Its intersection with the right of way of the Minnesota and Western Railway; thence Southwesterly along said railway right of way to Pineview Lane as extended; thence South along Pineview Lane to its Intersection with 6th Avenue North. Southerly Boundary Commencing at the intersection of Pineview Lane and 6th Avenue North; thence West along a line parallel to the South line of Section 34 to FAI 494; thence Northeasterly (NE) along FAI 494 to its inter- section with the right of way of the Minnesota and Western Railway; thence Southwesterly (SW) along said railway to its intersection with Niagara Lane. 3. Copies of such Guide Plan, including all maps included therein shall be available at the Village Hall for public inspection." The above motion was seconded by Councilman Hintz and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Humphrey, Hintz, Johnson and Kiadseth. The following voted against: None. Whereupon said resolution was declared to be duly passed and adopted. Page 3 Resolution No. 69-183 STATE OF MINNESOTA ) COUNTY OF MMEPIN ) SS VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH) I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk - Administrator of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby certify that I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of the minutes of a special meeting of the Village Council of said village held June 10, 1969, With the original thereof on file in my office and the same is a full, true and complete transcript there from insofar as the same relates to adopting a segment of the Comprehensive Municipal Plan relating to the central portion of the village.
