VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular
meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth,
Minnesota was held on the 28th day of April , 1969.
The following members were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilsen
Humphrey, Hintz, Johnson
The following members were absent: Councilman P.indseth due to
Illness.
Mayor Hilde introduced the following Resolution
and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 69 -US
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE
COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH:
WHEREAS, It is the desire of the Village of Plymouth +-3 be
effective in providing the maximum services to its
citizens at the lowest possible cost; and
WHEREAS, This involves, among other things, complex planning
of thoroughfares, parks, school locations, land use,
and budgetary considerations; and
WHEREAS, It is self evident that success in these endeavors
can only be achieved through the joint and cooperative
efforts'of.the Village of Plymouth and the various
school districts within its jurisdiction; be it hereby
RESOLVED, That the Council of the Village of Plymouth does
direct the Clerk -Administrator to immediately setup
a coordinated staffitelationehip with the four school
districts., within its. jurisdiction, for the purpose of
the gainfulexcbange of information and working out
solutions"`to problems, in any and all areas of mutual
concern but particularly; Planning, Park and Recreation,
and Finance.
which the;Council attaches,to.this.new relationship
and to make use of the information provided by our
CCR and liaisons to the School Districts. Some
specific goals which, on behalf of our citizens, should
be striven for are:
(1) School sites chosen by complete utilization of
the Village Planning Department (Planner and
Planning Commission) and subsequent review and
approval of the Village Council.
(2) The holding of an annual joint school board -
council meeting so scheduled as to allow
discussion of proposed budgets (before adoption)
and, their cumulative effects on the taxpayFr and
possible alternatives.
(3) Continuation and an increase in cooperation in
area of recreational fac-11ities and programs.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution
was duly seconded by Councilman Hints and upon vote being
taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Mayor Hilde, Councilmn Himphrey, Hints and Johnson
and the following `.voted against:
No one voted against. .

the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting
clerk of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby certify
that I have carefully compared the foregoing extract of minutes
of a -regular meeting, of the Village Council of said Village
heldthe 2814 day of April 1969 with the original thereof on
file in'my office and the same is a full, true and complete
transcript therefrom.
