HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2013-312CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2013-312 A RESOLUTION APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR REZONING OF LAND PRESENTLY ADDRESSED As 5565 JUNEAU LANE (2013071) WHEREAS, Tradition Development has requested reclassification of the zoning from FRD (future restricted development district) to RSF-3 (single family detached 3) for the roughly 3.2 -acre parcel presently legally described as follows: All of Government Lot 3, Section 4, Township 118, Range 22, except the South 941 feet thereof and except that part described as follows: Beginning at a point in the North line of said Government Lot 3 distant 375.4 feet East of the Northwest corner thereof, thence East along the North line to its intersection with the Northwesterly shoreline of Pomerleau Lake; thence Southwesterly along said shoreline to its intersection with a line drawn parallel with and distant 941 feet North of the South line of said Government Lot 3; thence West along the said parallel line to a point which is distant 430 feet East of the West line of said Government Lot 3; thence deflecting 64 degrees 42 minutes to the right and running Northwesterly 243.5 feet; thence running Northeasterly to the point of beginning. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public hearing and recommends approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance rezoning the affected property from FRD to RSF-3. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request for reclassification of the zoning from FRD to RSF-3 for the roughly 3.2 -acre parcel presently addressed as 5565 Juneau Lane, based on the following findings: 1. The requested RSF-3 zoning would be consistent with the requested LA -R2 guiding, and with the current RSF-3 zoning of adjacent properties to the south and west. 2. The proposed single-family residential use would meet the purpose and intent of the RSF-3 zoning district. 3. Adequate infrastructure is available to support the four proposed single-family lots.
