Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 19th day of
Nnvemher , 1990. The following members were present:
Mayor Bergman. Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, and Zitur '
The following members were absent: Councilmember Vasi lou
Councilmember Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 90- 765
REQUESTING HENNEPIN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO
CONDUCT SPEED STUDY
COUNTY ROAD 101
WHEREAS, traffic continues to increase along County Road 101; and
WHEREAS, a traffic signal has recently been installed at 1st Avenue; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to review the proper speed limit for this street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: that the City requests the Hennepin County Department of
Transportation to make a request to the Commissioner of the Minnesota
Department of Transportation to undertake an engineering study to determine a
safe and reasonable speed on the following road:
County Road 101 from County Road 6 to the Plymov--h south corporate
limits.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Zitur , and uponvote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Bergman, Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker,
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
