HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1990-621CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 1st day of October , 1990 The following members were present: Mayor Bergman, Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, Vasiliou, and Zitur The following members were absent: None Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 90-621 PROCEDURE FOR RECOMMENDING ARCHITECTURAL FIRM FOR NEW PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING. WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a new public safety building in the 1990-1994 capital improvement program; and, WHEREAS, the Council appointed a Public Safety Building Committee composed of Mayor Aim M. Bergman, Councilmember Bob Zitur, Councilmember Lloyd Ricker and City staff members; and, WHEREAS, this building committee interviewed various architectural firms who submitted proposals in response to the RFP prepared by the City; and, WHEREAS, two of these firms, i.e. Polson/Trossen/Wright and BRW/Rebanks were selected to do independent studies for space needs in the new public safety building, as well as related parking in both the public safety building and the City Center through the year 2010; and, WHEREAS, these firms have presented their reports to the City Council on October 1, 1990. NOW, THEREFORE LET IT HEREBY BE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the two reports are hereby accepted, and that the Public Safety Building Committee is directed to make further analysis and submit a recommendation to the City Council as to the architectural firm who is to proceed with the design, construction and related architectural services for a new public safety building. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by CounCilmember Zitur and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof : Mayor Bergman, Councilmembers Hell iwell.__Ricker.-Vasiliou. and Zitur The following voted against or abstained None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
