HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1990-492CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a re alar meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 6th day of August—, 199_ The following members were present: �lHyor Berm, rr�,•,n�a7:+ara H&lliwall, Ricker, Vasiliou, and Zitur The following members were absent: None Souncilmember Vaailiou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: PESOLUTION 90-492 ADOPTING REVISED AND UPDATED NATER DISTRIBUTION COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ELEMENT WHEREAS, the then Plymouth Village Council passed Resolution 73-242 on July 2, 1973, adopting an Official Village Comprehensive Municipal Plan; and, WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land Planning Act, Minnesota Statutes Chapters 473.851-473.872, required the City to prepare a Comprehensive Plan in accordance with laws 1976, Chapter 127, Sections 1 to 23, and to submit said plan to the Metropolitan Council for review; and, WHEREAS, the City Council directed submission of an updated and revised Comprehensive Plan including a Water Distribution Plan Element to the Metropolitan Council under Resolution 80-929 approved December 15, 1980, and under Resolution 82-598 approved November 15, 1982; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a Public Hearing June 13, 1990 to consider an updated Water Distribution Plan Element prepared by the City's consulting engineer, and recommends approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL O! THE CITY OP PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the revised and updated Water Distribution Comprehensive Plan Element; tURTHER, consistent with the requirements of the Metropolitan Land Planning Act, Minnesota Statutes the administrative staff is hereby directed to submit the element to the Metropolitan Council. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by_ Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: mayor Bergs Counci��rs _____ Halliwell, Ricker, VA and Zitur The following voted against or abstained None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
