HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1990-482CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 6th day of August 1990. The following members were present: Mayor Bergman. Coun�ilmembers Helliwell Ricker. Vasiliou and Zitur The following members were absent: None Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-482 INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL COUNTY ROAD 9 AND ANNAPOLIS LANE CITY PROJECT NO. 941 WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Department of Transportation has completed an investigation at the intersection of County Road and Annapolis Lane and a traffic signal is warranted; and WHEREAS, Strgar-Roscoe-Fausch, Inc. has completed a Signal Justification Study and also indicated that a traffic signal is warranted; and WHEREAS, the installation of a temporary signal at County Road 9 and Annapolis Lane is included in Program Year 1990 of the 1990-1994 Capital Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, because of existing traffic conditions at this intersection, a temporary traffic signal should be installed as soon as possible; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: that the Hennepin County Department of Transportation authorize the City to prepare plans and specifications for this temporary traffic signal, and authorize the City to receive bids and administer the contract for the installation of the temporary signal. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: that the City request the firm of Strgar-Roscoe-Fausch, Inc. to enter into an agreement with the City to prepare the plans and specifications for this temporary traffic signal. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Ceuneilmemher Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Berman. Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker. Vasiliou. and 71rur The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
