HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1990-480CITY OF PLYMOUTH W Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 6th day of August 1990. The following members were present: Mayor Bergman. Councilmemhers Helliwell- , Ricker. Vasillou. and Zitur The following members were absent: None Cnunr11MPmhgr Vasillou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-480 AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CHICAGO AND NORTHWESTERN TRANSPORTATION COMPANY TO WIDEN THE WEST MEDICINE LAKE TRAIL DRIVE STREET CROSSING OF THE RAILROAD TRACKS SOUTH OF EVERGREEN LANE CITY PROJECT NO. 931 WHEREAS, the City has contracted for the installation of a public trail improvement adjacent to West Medicine Lake Trail Drive in the area between approximately 26th Avenue and 12th Avenue; and WHEREAS, as part of this trail project, a slight alignment change is to be made in West Medicine Lake Trail Drive in the area of the Chicago and Northwestern Transportation Company's railroad crossing south of Evergreen Lane; and . WHEREAS, a widening at this crossing is necessary to accommodate the roadway realignment; and WHEREAS, the purchase of additional easement will be required from the railroad company to widen the crossing; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: that the City enter into an agreement with the Chicago and Northwestern Transportation Company for the widening of the West Medicine Lake Trail Drive crossing of the railroad tracks south of Evergreen Lane to be done by railroad forces at a cost to the City of $3,510 and that the City purchase the necessary permanent easement for this installation from the transportation company at a cost of $1,685.
