HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1990-367CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 18th day of JnnP , 1990. The following members were present: , Helliwell, Zitur, Vasiliou, Ricker, Bergman The following members were absent: None Councilmember Vasiliou introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90- 367 INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL COUNTY ROAD 10 AND NATHAN LANE CITY PROJECT NO. 812 WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Department of Transportation has completed an investigation at the intersection of County Road 10 and Nathan Lane and a traffic signal is warranted; and WHEREAS, Hennepin County has completed the plans for this signal as part of the upgrading and reconstruction of County Road 10; and WHEREAS, because of the major reconstruction project on County Road 10, if the signal is installed as part of the road improvement project, it is likely it will not be in operation until 1991 or 1992; and WHEREAS, because of existing traffic conditions at this intersection, a traffic signal should be installed as soon as possible. NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the Hennepin County Department of Transportation is requested to furnish the plans and specifications for this traffic signal to the City of Plymouth and authorize the City to receive bids and administer the contract for the installation of the signal; FURTHER, that the City of Plymouth would be responsible for funding the total construction cost of the signal. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Helliwell. Zitur, Vasiliou. Ricker; Bergman , The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
