HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1990-3220 CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 21st day of May 1990. The following members were present: Mayor Bergman. Councilmemb rs , Helliwell, Ricker, Vasiliou, and Zitur The following members were absent: None Councilmember Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-322 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID COUNTY ROAD 101 TRUNK WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 906 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the County Road 101 Trunk Watermain Improvements Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids ware received complying with the advertisement: Brown and Cris, Inc. $ 274,744.71 S. J. Louis Const. 279,885.00 Northdale Const. 280,274.40 Widmer, Inc. 282,040.61 F.F. Jedlicki 289,610.60 Annandale Contractor 293,930.70 Winter Const. Co. 294,205.56 Glendale Cont. 299,567.75 Burschville Const. 314,968.00 Ceca Utilities 315,925.00 B. b D. Underground 318,921.00 Barbarossa and Sons 326,637.99 Austin P. Keller 343,247.00 S. M. Hentges 347,019.25 Lametti and Sons 353,871.70 Schurcon, Inc. 371,055.50 Nodland Const. 396,795.10 G. L. Contracting 475,867.90 WHEREAS, it appears that Brown and Cris, Inc. of Lakeville, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached c,ntract with Brown and Cris, Inc. of Lakeville, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the County Road 101 Trunk Watermain Improvements, City Project No. 906 according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of the low bid of $274,744.71. Resolution No. 90-322 Page Two 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return f-.-thwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Ceuncilm- ar Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Nagar _jergun`_Councilmembe s Helliwell- RiCker. Vasiliouand , Zitur The following voted against or abstained: _done Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
