Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota,
was held on the 7th day of May , 19 90 The following
members were present:
Helliwell, Zitur, Ricker, Vasiliou, Berman
The following members were absent: None
Councilmember Ricker introduced the following
Resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION 90- 309
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID
SELF CONTAINED BREATHING EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for self contained
breathing apparatus, bids were received, opened and tabulated
according to law, and the following bids were received complying
with the advertisement:

WHEREAS, the bid of Mine Safety Appliance is hereby declared non-
responsive because the equipment bid provides for a single stage
rather than two stage regulator as required by the
specifications, and the pressure gauge is not located as
specified; and,
WHEREAS, it appears that Alex Air Apparatus Inc. is the lowest
responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE LET IT HEREBY BE RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA :.
1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into a contract with Alex Air Apparatus
Inc. of Alexandria, Minnesota in the name of the City of
Plymouth for the purchase of self contained breathing
apparatus in accordance with specifications approved by
the City Council in the amount of $150,095.

2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with
their bids, except that the deposits of the successful
bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until
a contract has been signed.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly
seconded by
Councilmember zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Helliwell. zitur. Ricker.
Vasiliou. Berman
The following voted against or abstained None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
