HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1990-306CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a rg milar meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 7th day of --May , 19 90 The following members were present: Mayor Bergman, Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, Vasiliou, and Zitur The following members were absent: None Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 90- 306 ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW HOME IMPROVEMENT GRANT/LOAN PROGRAM INCOME LIMITS UNDER THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM, YEAR XVI WHEREAS, the Home Improvement Grant/Loan Program provides an effective way of rehabilitating older dwellings and reducing scarce energy resources; and, WHEREAS, Hennepin County and the federal government's Department of Housing and Urban Development allow each municipality within the Urban County to adopt its own income limits, provided they are no greater the current Section 8 income limits; and, WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has been using the same income limits since 1988; and, WHEREAS, the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority at its meeting of April 19, 1990, unanimously recommended, by Resolution 90-04, that the Home Improvement Grant/Loan Program income limit be changed to correspond to the newly adopted Department of Housing and Urban Development's Section 8 income limits for very low income households; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does set the Home Improvement Grant/Loan income limits by household size as follows: Household Size I Person 2 Persons 3 Persons 4 Persons 5 Persons 6 Persons 7 Persons 8 Persons Annual Income Limits $15,750 18,000 20,250 22,500 24,300 26,100 27,900 29,700 (see next page) Resolution No. 90-306 Page Two FURTHER, that this resolution shall take effect upon adoption for all new applicants where home improvement work has yet to be authorized. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by CnttnriImPmhRr R rkPr , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Bergman.
