HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1990-285CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meetinghof the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 1 th day of April 1990 The following members were present: Mayor Bergman, Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, and Zitur The following members were absent: Councilmember vas iiou Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 90-285 AUTHORIZE AMENDED WORK AGREEMENT FOR SERVICES NECESSARY TO COMPLETE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL APPROVAL OF TRANSPORTATION ELEMENT AMENDMENT WHEREAS, the City has identified a work program indicating the potential consultant services needed to complete the Metropolitan Council approval process for the City's amended Transportation Element; and, WHEREAS, the remaining consultant services deemed necessary by the City will be supplemental to those provided under the Work Program approved and authorized by the City Council on October 16, 1989 under Resolution 89-662; and, WHEREAS, it is in the City's interest to complete the work required for satisfaction of the Metropolitan Land Planning Act and ten year review and updating of the Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan which is vital to the continued growth and development of the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does authorize the City Manager to enter into the appropriate work agreements to procure the necessary consultant services to assist the City staff in securing the final review and approval of the amended Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan by the Metropolitan Council; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a sum not -to -exceed $16,000 be and the same is hereby appropriated from the contingency account to finance the necessary work. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Ricker and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Bergman, Councilmembers Helliwell. Ricker. and Zitur The following voted against or abstained None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
