Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 16th day of April
1990. The following members were present: Moor Bergman, Councilmembers Helliwell,
Ricker_, and Zitur
The following members were absent: Councilmember Vasiliou
Councilmember Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 90- 260
ORDERING PREPARATION OF PRELIMINARY REPORT
25TH AVENUE WATERMAIN - LANCASTER LN. TO KILMER LN.
CITY PROJECT NO. 025
WHEREAS, it is proposed to provide watermain service on 25th Avenue between Lancaster
Ln. and Kilmer Ln.; and
WHEREAS, said project is necessary prior to the street construction on 25th Avenue as
part of the 1990 street reconstruction program, and
WHEREAS, property benefited by such projects would be assessed for all or a portion of
the cost of such improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 421.111 (Laws
1953, Chapter 398, as amended); and
WHEREAS, a Preliminary Engineering Report is required to define the necessary
improvements and estimated cost.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA: That the proposed improvements be referred to Short -Elliott -Hendrickson,
Inc. for study and that the engineers be instructed to report to the City Council with
all convenient speed by advising the Council, in a preliminary way, as to whether the
proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should be best made as proposed
or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of such an
improvement as recommended.
FURTHER, that the work shall be performed in accordance with the current "Engineering
Services Agreement".
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Mayor RPrg_man , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: mayor Bergman. Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, and Zitur
The following voted against or abstained: None.
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
