HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1990-255CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 2nd day of April 1990. The following members were present: Deputy Mayor Vasi1_iou , Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, and Zitur The following members were absent: Mayor Bergman CnjtnrilmamhPr Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-255 AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF PRELIMINARY ALIGNMENT/DESIGN STUDY COUNTY ROAD 9/COUNTY ROAD 24 CONNECTION CITY PROJECT NO. 031 WHEREAS, the City's adopted Thoroughfare Guide Plan proposes a "Minor Arterial" roadway connecting County Road 9 and County Road 24 between Vicksburg Lane and Dunkirk Lane; and WHEREAS, because of proposed development within the area, it is necessary to determine the alignment of this proposed roadway; and WHEREAS, the City has received a proposal from Strgar-Roscoe-Fausch, Inc. dated March 27, 1990 providing for the preparation of a Preliminary Design/Alignment Study; and �=WHEREAS, said study is necessary to determine the required alignment of the proposed "Minor Arterial" roadway in order that development proposals can be approved along the corridor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the proposal submitted by Strgar-Roscoe-Fausch, Inc. dated March 27, 1990 by the terms of which the firm is to provide engineering services for the preparation of the Preliminary Design/Alignment Study for the connection of County Road 9 and County Road 24 at a cost not to exceed $28,500 is hereby approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a sum not to exceed $28,500 be in the same is hereby appropriated from the M.S.A. Fund to finance this report. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zitur , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Deputy Mayor Vasiliou, Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, and Zitur The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
