HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1990-248CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 2nd day of _�pr11 , 1990. The following members were present: Deputy Mayor Vasilint. , CnuncilmambPrs HP11ivell, Rinker- and 7.itur The following members were absent: —Mahar iiur,gan Councilmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90- 248 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID PUMPING FACILITY NO. 12 CITY PROJECT NO. 909 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Pumping Facility No. 12, and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Glendale Contracting Northdale Construction A. & K. Construction ID ABE Construction Richmar S.M. Hentges & Sons, Inc. B. & D. Underground $ 201,935.00 205,795.00 210,733.05 217,025.00 220,235.00 231,562.50 326,007.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Glendale Contracting of Plymouth, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Glendale Contracting in the name of the City of Plymouth for the construction of Pumping Facility No. 12, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk in the amount of the low bid of $201,935. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Helliwell , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: _Deputy Mayor Vasiliou, Councilmembers Helliwell. Ricker and , _ Zitur The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
