Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Xegular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 26th day of February 1990.
The following members were present: Mayor Bergman. Councilmembers Helliwell
icker. Vaeiliou. and Zitur
the following members were absent: None
CouncXlmember Zitur introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 90-187
AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR SELF --CONTAINED
BREATHING EQUIPMENT AND FUNDING OF SAME
WHEREAS, the City Manager in his report of February 22, 1990 has recommended that the
City Council appropriate $178,000 from the General Fund surplus to assist in the
acquisition of new breathing apparatus for the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that bids should be ,ought for new breathing
apparatus; and
WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the City Manager's memorandum and determined that
such a transfer of funds is appropriate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that the sum of $178,000 is hereby transferred from the City's General Fund
reserve to assist in purchasing new breathing apparatus for the Fire Department as
recommended in the City Manager's memorandum of February 26, 1990: and
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the City Manager be directed to proceed with the preparation of
specifications and proceed to solicit bids for new self-contained breathing apparatus
as recommended in his February 26 memorandum.
The motion for anoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
and upon vote being taken thereon, the
