pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular _
meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota,
was held on the 8th day of February-, 19_2D_. The following
members were ppresent:

The following members were absent: None
Counci lmember Helliwell introduced the following
Resolution.and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION 90-114
AMENDING FIRE CODE APPEAL PROCESS
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed that various policies be
prepared in an attempt to clarify and communicate the City
Council's perspective with respect to issues not addressed in
the city code; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to maintain such policies in
an up-to-date fashion; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has received a staff report dated
January 24, 1990, which recommends an amendment to the policy
concerning appeals to the Minnesota Uniform Fire Code (MUFC).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that it does authorize an
amendment to the Council's existing policy concerning appeals
to the MUFC; and,
FURTHER, authorizes this amendment to Roman Numeral II, Step 7
to wit: "the Appellant may appeal a board finding to the state
fire marshal if he believes that the Fire Department is
enforcing the MUFC unfairly or inconsistently. Appeals must be
made within 14 days of the decision of the Board of Appeals."
The previous language is deleted in lieu of this amendment.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly
seconded by
Councilmember Vasiliou and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Magor Bergman, Councilmembers Helliwell Ricker. Vasiliou. and Zitur
The following voted against or abstained Non
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
