HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1990-093City of Plymouth Pursuant to the due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 5th day of February 1990 The following members were present: Mayor Bergman Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, Vasiliou, and Zitur The following members were absent: Counci lmember Zi tur introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 90- 93 APPROVING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR THE POLICE PISTOL RANGE WHEREAS, the 1990 police budget approved by the City Council authorizes an expenditure up to $50,000 to finish the Police Pistol Range; and WHEREAS, public bids in excess of $15,000 are required by state law. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the plans and specifications for a pistol range, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved; and, 1. The City Clerk shall cause to be inserted in the official paper an advertisement for bids for the installation and completion of a pistol range. The advertisement shall be published once, shall specify the work to be done, shall indicate that plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the Public Safety Director and copies obtained for individual use, 2. Said notice shall further indicate than no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Director of Finance and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Plymouth for five ( 5 ) p(!r cent of the amount of such bid. Bids will be received by the Finance Director until 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 1990, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the Director of Finance. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Ricker _F and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Bpraman Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, Vasiliou, and Zitur The following voted against or abstained Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
