Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 22nd day of
January , 1990. The following members were present: ,
Mayor Bergman. Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker, and Vasiliou ,
The following members were absent: Councilmember Zitur
Councilmember Ricker introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 90-49
DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION
AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT
STREET LIGHTING - HONEYWELL, INC., 12001 HWY. 55
WHEREAS, a petition has been received from Honeywell, Inc. requesting
installation of overhead street light at the intersection of Hwy. 55 and
Forestview Lane.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
I. a certain petition requesting the improvement of Hwy. 55 and
Forestview Lane by the installation of a overhead street light, filed
with the City Council on January 22, 1990 is hereby declared to be
signed by the required percentage of owners of property affected
thereby. This declaration is made in conformance to Minnesota
Statutes Section 429.035.
2. The petition is signed by 1005 of the affected property owners
and they have waived their rights to public improvement and
special assessment hearings.
3. The petition is hereby referred to the City Engineer and he is
instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed
advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the
proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should
best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other
improvement and the estimated cost of the improvement as
recommended.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Vasiliou , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Mayor Bergman, Councilmembers Helliwell, Ricker,
and Vasiliou
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
