VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH
Purwnmt to dna call and notice thereof, a reg6lar meeting of the
Village Council of the Village of Plymouth. Minnesota was held on the
16th day of December, 1968. The following members were present:
Mayor Hilda, Councilman Hint, Hagen, Humphrey and O'Fallon.
The following members were absent: None

Councilman Hagen introduced the following Resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 68-279
WHEREAS the Zoo Advisory Committee to The Metropolitan Council has
made proposals for a new major Metropolitan Zoo: and
WHSR6AS these proposals will greatly benefit the people of our area
by providing a facility for the study and preservation of animal
species, as well as a place for family -centered recreation; and
WHEREAS this facility would be Lrgely self-supporting, with minimal
financial cost to the public; and
WHEREAS the zoo would be of benefit to area citizena and businesses
and a major attraction for tourists,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLV® that the Council of the Village of
Plymouth goes on record in support of this project and urges the
State Legislature to UVIa ene these plans in the coming Legislative
session.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly
seconded by Councilman Hunt, and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilda, Councilmen Hunt, Hagen,
Humphrey and O'Fallon.
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
