November 18, 1968
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting
of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth was held on
November18, 1968 at the Village Hall, 13800 State Highway No. 55
commencing at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were
present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen O'Fallon, Hagen, Hunt and
Humphrey. The following members were absent: None.
Councilman Humphrey introduced the
following resolution and moved its adoption:
"RESCLUTION NO. 68-253
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
INSTITUTION OF EMINENT DOMAIN PROCEEDINGS
FOR THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN LANDS FOR
PARK PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Park Advisory ,
Commission that various parcels ct land throughout the Village of
Plymouth should be acquired for park purposes and,
WHEREAS, negotiations have been instituted to acquire
said parcels and,
WHEREAS, with respect to two of said parcels negotiations
have not been successful.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE
COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH AS FOLLOWS:
1. It is deemed to be necessary and desirable
that the Village acquire the following described
parcels of land for park purposes:
South 200 feet of North 700 feet of Southwest
1/4 of Southeast 1/4, Section 2, Township 118,
Range 22,
-and-
carher of Goverment Lot 8, IWnce Northwesterly',
7f/_6 chains, thence West to shore of Bass Lake,,;
thence Northerly along said shoreline to a
point 700 feet South at right angles from the
North line of Lot 8, thence East to East line
of Southwest 1/4 of Southeast 1/4, thence North
200 feet, thence West to said shoreline, thence
Northerly along said shoreline to North line of
Lot 8, thence East to a point 2 rods West from
Northeast corner thereof, thence South to a
point 2 rods West from Northeast corner thereof,
thence South to a point 166.5 feet North from
South line of Lot 8, thence West 290 feet, thence
South 1661 feet, thence West to beginning.
Section 2, Township 118, Range 22. 46.07 acres.

2. The Village Attorney is hereby authorized and
directed to institute proceedings in eminent domain
to acquire the above described parcels for the Village
of Plymouth for park purposes."
The above motion was seconded by Councilman O'Fallon
and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor
thereon; Mayor Hilde, Councilmen O'Fallon, Hagen, Hunt and
Humphrey. The follow-:,, voted against; None.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and
adopted.

I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting
clerk of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby certify that
I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of
minutes of a regular meeting of the Village Council of said
village held November 18, 1968 with the original thereof on file
in my office and the same is a full, true and complete transcript
therefrom insofar as the same relates to the institiution.of
eminent domain proceedings for the acquisition of certain lands
for park purposes.
