Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village
Council ` the Village of Plymouth. Mtnnesots, was held on August 12, 1968,
at the Plymouth Village Hall, 138nO State Highway 055, commencing, at 70n
o'clock p.m. The following members were presents Mayor Hilde, Councilmen
O'Fallon, hunt and 4ia8en. The followinc members were absents Councilman
11%unphray.
Councilman Hagen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoptions

WHr2rAS, existing, mental health facilities available for residents of
Hennepin County, State of Minnesota. are limited to the physical premises
of Hennepin County General I' mpital, 5th Street and Portland Avenue South,
Minneapolis, and
WERFAS, these sole existing facilities in Hennepin County are from
ten to fifty miles distant from the great majority of residents of western
Hennepin County, and
WHERF,AS, public transportation from western Hennepi Coutity to Hennepin
County General Hospital is either difficult and time-consuming, expensive or
is
non-existent;
NOW, THERE -ORE Br IT HEREBY RESOLV€D BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THr vT-LAGr
OF PLYMOUTH AQ FOLL- WS;
The P lymouth Village Council urges and encourages the Hennepin County
Mental ts&:+'th Board and the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners to
rrovide It.centive to Federal, State and County authorities for providing
and/or butldinn Mental Health facilities in western Hennepin County For
:he use of the residents of western Hennepin County.
Councilman Thant seconded the ahave motion and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor eilde, Councilmen O'Fallon, Panen
. and 1unt. The following: voted against; "one.
