OF VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA
April 15, 1968
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular
meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth was
held on April 15, 1968 at the Village Hall, 13800 State Highway
No. 55, commencing at 7:30 o'clock P. M. The following members
were present: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hagen, Hunt, and
Humphrey. The following members were absent: Councilman
O•Fallon.
Councilman Hunt introduced the following
resolution and moved its adoption:
"RESOLUTION NO. 68-81"
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF
HENNEPIN COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENT
PERSONNEL FOR POLICE PROTECTION ON
A TEMPORARY BASIS
WHEREAS, the Village of Plymouth has been receiving
assistance from the Sheriff of Hennepin County on an interim
basis during the period of rebuilding the Plymouth Police
Department, and
WHEREAS, it appears thatthe continued assistance of
the Sheriff of Hennepin County will be required for an additional
period of time until more personnel can be recruited and
employed by the Village of Plymouth in its own police departsent,
and
WHEREAS, the Sheriff of Hennepin County has offered to
continue providing additional assistance tothe Village of
Plymouth on a temporary and interim basis,and
WHEREAS, said continued interim assistance requires
that the Village of Plymouth reimburse the Sheriff of Hennepin
County for the expenses of such additional police protection
and provide certain equipment for the use of such Sheriff,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE
COUNDIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH AS FOLLOWS:
1. That in consideration of she furnishing by
the Sheriff of Hennepin County of continued
interim assistance by three extra men each
working eight (8) hour shifts per day during
such interim period, the Village Council
hereby authorizes the payment to the Sheriff
of Hennepin County of the sum of $4.10 per
hour for each hour that each of such additional
men provides such police protection to the
Village cf Plymouth.
2. The Village Council hereby directs the Village
Treasurer and the Clerk -Administrator to honor
requests for payment of the amount setbut in
1. above upon certification by the Sheriff's
office of the accuracy of such requests whether
or not such requests are submitted by the
County of Hennepin or the individuals providing
and performing the services.
3. The Village Council hereby authorizes the
furnishing of a police car belonging to tha
Village of Plymouth for the use of such per-
sonnel of the Sheriff's office, which car shall
be operated at the expense of the Village of
Plymouth.
4. The Clerk -Administrator is hereby directed to
furnish a certified copy of this resolution to
the Sheriff of Hennepin County and to the office
of Stanley R. Cowle, the Administrator of Hennepin
County."
The above motion was seconded by councilman Humphrey
and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor
'hera:laf: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen Hagen, Hunt and Humphrey. The
following voted against: None. Whereupon said resolutionwas
declared duly passed and adopted.

I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting
Clerk -Administrator of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesfl ta, hereby
certify that I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing
extract of minutes of a regular meeting of the Village Council
of said village held April 15, 1968, with the original thereof
on file in my office and the same is a full, true and complete
transcript insofar as the name relates to authorizing the use of
