HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1968-057EXTRACT OF XIWMS OF REGULAR NESTING OF VILLAGE COUNCIL OF VILLAGE OF PLYUOVIl MINNESOTA Pursuant to duecall and notice thereof a regular greeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plysoutb was read at the Village Hall, 13800 State Highway No. 55 on March 18, 1968 commencing at 7:30 o'clock p. a. The following members were present: Mayor Hilda, Councilmen O'Failon, Hunt, Hagen and Humphrey. The following members were absent: None. . Councilman xumnhrev introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: "RESOLUTION NO. 68-57" A RESOLWTTION REQUESTING THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MINNEAPOLIS TO AUTHORIZE A 61AICT ' .. SANITARY 381BR CONNECTION BY THE VILLAft OF PLYMOUTH INTO THE SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF MINNEAPOLIS. WHEREAS, -the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, has constructed and installed and is operating a municipal. sanitary. sewer system and, WHEREAS, said sanitary sewer system is presently connected to the sanitary sewer system of the Village of Golden Valley from whence it then flows into the sanitary sewer sotea ll ;i of the City of Minneapolis and, WHEREAS, it appears to be expedient, necessary and desirable that the Village of Plymouth be -permitted to make a direct connection of its sanitary sewer system and ;future expansion thereof into the sanitary sewer system of the City of Minneapolis and, WHEREAS, the engineering department of the City of Minneapolis and the consulting engineer of the Village of Plymouth have indicated that such a connection is feasible and that the City of Minneapolis har capacity in its system for such a connection. NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth as follows; 1. The City Council of the City of Minneapolis, is hereby requested to authorize a direct connection •,tf the Plymouth, Minnesota sanitary sewer bymcem into the sanitary sewer system of the City of Minneapolis in accordance with discussions of the respective engineering departments. 2. The City Council of the City of Minneapolis is further requested to authorize the City Attorney of the City of'Minneapolls to enter into negotiations with the Village Attorney of Plymouth, Minnesota for a contract betvoen the two municipalities relating to such sanitary sewer service." The above motion was seconded by Councilman Hunt and uorn vote being taken thereon the following voted.in favor thereof; Mayor Hilde, Councilmen O'Fallon, Hunt, Hagen and Humphrey. The following voted against: None. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. STATE OF MINNESOTA ) ) COMM OF HENNEPIN ) SS. VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH ) The undersigned being the duly qualified and acting Clerk -Administrator of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota does'' hereby certify that he has carefully compared the above extract of the minutes of the regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth held on March 18, 1968 with the original of said minutes contained in the minute book of said Village. That said extract is in all respects a true and correct copy of said original minutes as said minutes pertain to the City Council of the City of Minneapolis authorizing a -2- Village of (SEAL)
