EXTRACT -OF MINUTES OF REGULAR
NuttING OF VILLAGE COUNCIL.,OF THE'
-VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH. MINNESOTA

Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village ,
Council of the Villtge'8i Plymouth, Minnesota, was held at the Village ball

on. March 11, 196$,1 commencing at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were
present. :Mayor Hi1de. Councilmen o Fallon. 6umphrey, Hagen and Hunt; end the
following members were; absent; None.
Councilman Hagen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:

"RESOLUTION NO. 68-54A"
A RESOLUTION SETTING UP A HEARINr.
FOR OFFICER BRUCE JOHNSON
WHEREAS, the 1968 Plymouth Police Service Committee has reported to the
Village Council and has recommended that Officer Bruce Johnson be dismissed
from the Police Department,, and

WHEREAS, Officer Bruce Johnson is not a veteran and is not entitled, under.

law to any hearing with respect to the reasons for his dismissal, and
WHEttEAS, not withstanding, the Village Council desires that he should have

a heariag under,the Veteran's Preference Act,

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF VE. VILLAGE,
OF PLYMOUTH AS FOLLOWS:
1. That effective this date, Officer Bruce Johnson be suspended as
an officer of the Plymouth Police Department wit'i pap pending
the hearing and determination of charges to be brought agsnvt
him.
} 2. That the Village Attorney is c'irected to investigate any such
charges ; against Officer Bruce `,iohneon and is further directed
to prepare formal written charges against him.
The above motion was seconded by Couvk:ilman Hunt and upon vote being taken
$hereon. the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen 007allo",.

Hagen and Hunt. The €ollowing voted against: t,None. The following abstained

.from voting: Councilman Humphrey.
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
