HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1968-020VILLAGE OF PLYMO11TH EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF N STING OF VILLAGE COUNCIL, JANUARY 22, 1968 do Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular w7gtin¢ cf the 'tillage Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held rn the 22nd day of January, 1968, at the Village '.fall commencing at 7.30 p.m. The .`allowing mes'.rars were present: Mayor Htlde, Councilmen O'Fallon, Hagen and Hunt; and the following were absent: Councilman Duntley. Councilman Hagen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 68-20 RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR PURCHASE OF TWO 1968 POLICE PATROL CARS WHEREAS, pursuant to advertising for bids as required by law, January 4, 1968, at 10:00 A.M. was fixed as the daze and time for opening bids on the purchase of two 1968 Police patrol cars and, WHEREAS, said bids were opened on such date and at such time and were thereafter submitted to the Council, and WHEREAS, it has been found that the Village can purchase jointly through Hennepin County two patrol cars at less cost, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THF. VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH: 1. That the bids received pursuant to advertisement for purchase of two 1968 Police patrol cars, as said bids are set out below, are hereby rejected. Velie Motor Company $5,970.00 Minar Ford, Inc. 4,916.80 Hansord Pontiac Company 5,007.30 Iten Chevrolet 5,078.00 Brookdale Chrysler -Plymouth 5,170.00 The above motion was seconded by Councilman Hunt and upon vote being taken eherm!An, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hilde, Councilmen O'Fallon, Hagen and Kunt; and the following voted against: None. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
