HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1967-163EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF VILLAGE CfVUNNC IL OF PLYMOUTH, NIVNESOTA to Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular - spealml meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth was held on the 2nd day of October , 18 67 , commencing at 7:30 — otclock P. M. at the Village Hall, 13800 State Highway #55. The following members were present: Mayor Staples, Councilmen O'Fallon, ountley, Hagen and Hunt. the following members were absent: N -ane. Councilman Hunt introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 67-163 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING AND ADOPTING THE ASSESSMENT FOR STREET LIGHTING IN PLYMOUTH MANOR IST AND 2ND ADDITIONS WHEREAS, pursuant to due and proper notice according to law an assessment hearing was held on the 2nd day of October, 1967, relating to street lighting costs for Plymouth Manor 1st and 2nd Additions and, WHEREAS, all persons present desiring to be heard were heard and their objections, if any, were noted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA AS FOLLOWS: E 111. The Village Clerk has, vath the assistance Of the village Treasurer XUarstweavexuablo"d EVX-V= MMI pasv� calculated the proper amounts to be specially aseessed for street lighting costs for Plymouth Manor 1st and 2nd Additions against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land, In accordance with the provisions of law, and has pre- pared and filed in his office tabulated statements in duplicate showing the proper description of each and every lot. piece or parcel of land to be specially assessed �n the amount calculated against same. 2. Notice has been duly published as required by law that this council would meet in regular session at this time and place to pass on the proposed assessment. 3. The proposed assessment has at all times since its filing been open to inspection and copying by all persons interested, and an opportunity has been given to all interested persons to present their objections, if any, to such proposed assessment, or to any item thereof, and no objections have been filed. 4. This Council finds that each of the lotei pieces or par- cels of land enumerated in said proposed assessment was and is specially benefited by the construction of such street lighting In the amount in said proposed assessment set opposite the description of each such lot, piece or parcel of ldnd and that said amount is hereby levied and assessed. 5. Such proposed assessment is affirmed, adopted and con- firmed, and the sums filed and named in said proposed assessment with the changes and alterations hereinabove made are affirmed, adopted and confirmed as the proper special assessment for each of said lots, pieces or parcels of land respectively. B. • Said assessment ■o affirmed, adopted and confirmed shall be certified to by the Village Clerk and filed in his office and shall thereupon be and constitute the special assessment for street lighting costs for Plymouth Manor lst and 2nd Additions. 7. The amounts assessed against each lot, piece or parcel of land shall bear interest from the date hereof until the same have been paid at the rate of o percent per annum. S. 'Such assessment shall be payable in one equal annual installments payable on the lot day of January in each year, beginning in the year l9 Es , and continuing until all of said installments sball-7 ve been paid, each Installment to be collected with taxes collectible during said gear by the County Auditor. To the first Installment shall be added interest on the entire assess- ment from the date hereof to December 31, 19 67. To each subsequent installment shall be added intere-IT`for one • year on all unpaid installments. -2- 9. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to make up and fila in the office of the County Auditor of Hennepin CouDt7 a certified statement of the P -mount of all of such unpaid assessmer.ts and the amount which will be due thereon on the 1st day of January in each year." The above motion was seconded by Mayor Stances and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Staples, Councilmen O'Fallon, Duntley, Hagen and Hunt. the following voted against: None.
