HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1967-104EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF REGULAR '.FETING OF VILLAGE COUNCIL OF VI , SOTA July 10, 1967 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth was held on July 10, 1987 at the Village Hall, 13800 State Highway No. 53, commencing at 7.30 o'clock P. M. The following members ijwere present: ±f and Duntley. li 1l fll Mayor Staples, Trustees O'Fallon, H.-nt, Hagen The following members were absent: None. Councilman Hunt introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: "RESOLUTION NO. 67-104" A RESOLUPION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF CERTAIN FUNDS FOR THE PREPARATION OF AN ENGINEERING FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT. WHEREAS, t::e Cities of Hopkins and Wayzata, and the Villages ci Deephaven, Eden Prairie, Medicine Lake, Minnetonka, Plymouth and Woodland have a common interest in providing for existing and future health and sanitation needs of their respective communities by providing for sewage collection and treatment in the most feasible manner; and, WHEREAS, the members of the respective councils have not from time to time and discussed the common and mutual need of providing for s6wage collection and treatment by the construction of a sewage tr,aatment plant on the Minnesota River; and, WHEREAS, the councils of the Cities of Hopkins and Wayzata, and the Villages of Deephaven, Eden Prairie, Medicine Lake, Minnetnnka, Plymouth and Woodland deem it proper and in the public interest to enter into a joint agreement providing for the preparation of an engineer's feasibility report on the construction of such sewage treatment plant and the installation of interceptors, including the recommended sitT� for such plant, estimated costs, etc.; and, WHEREAS, an estimated cost of the preparation of such engineering report including soil boring and topographical work has been fixed at $10,000.00; and, WHEREAS, the above municipalities have agreed to make certain allocation of funds from each of them available for the engineering report subject, however, to the proviso that the cost sharing formula followed for preparation of the feasibility report will have no bearing upon any cost sharing formula ultimately to be adopted for the cost of the construction of the plant. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the Village will contribute the sum of $1,750.00 towards the cost of the feasibility report to be prepared. 2. That this contribution by the Village is hereby expressly made subject to inclusion In the preparation and review of the feasibility report of the Village consulting engineering staff whether by direct participation in the preparation of the report or by consultation servicos rendered in its preparation." The above motion was seconded by Council6mn Duntle and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereon: Mayor Staples, Trustees O'Fallcn, Hunt, Hagen and Duntley. The following voted against: None.
