March 13, 1967
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular
meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth,
Minnesota was held on the 13th day of March, 1967 at the
Village Hall, 13800 State Highway No. 55, commencing at 7:30
o'clock P. M. The following members were present: Mayor
Staples, Trustees � Hunt, Duntley and J� The

introduced the following
resolution and moved its adoption:
"Resolution No. 67-3-15
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE IMPOSITION OF
WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS ON VILLAGE STREETS
WHEREAS, by reason of snow, rain and other climatic
conditions, many streets in the Village are in danger of be-
coming seriously damaged and destroyed and,
WHEREAS, the continued use of such streets by heavy
trucks and buses may cause such streets to become impassable
to residents living thereon and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance 59-9 of the Village, the
Road Committee of the Council has recommended that weight
restrictions be placed upon such streets when their continued
use by heavy vehicles will cause them to be damaged or destroyed
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE
COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH AS FOLLOWS:
1. Upon the recommendation of the Village
Engineer, the Clerk Administrator is hereby authorized
and directed to prohibit the operation of any motor

vehicle upon any village street when such motor
vehicle has a gross weight on any single axle,
as defined in Minnesota Statutes, Section 169.83
in excess of 8,000 pounds.
2. Such restriction shall became effective upon
the erection of signs at each end of the street
so restricted which signs shall jlainly indicate
such prohibition.
3. Such prohibitions and restrictions may be removed
by the Clerk -Administrator upon recommendation by the
Village Engineer that they are no longer required for
the safety and usability of such street." L
The above motion was seconded by ``ROA f as
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof:

Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and
adopted.

The undersigned being the duly qualified and acting
Clerk -Administrator of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota does
hereby certify that he has carefully compared the above
extract of the minutes of the regular meeting of the Village
Council of the Village of Plymouth held on March 13, 1967 with
the original of said minutes contained in the minute book
of said Village. That said extract is in all respects a
true and correct copy of said original minutes as said
minutes pertain to the resolution authorizing the imposition
of weight restrictions on Village streets.
