HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1966-108EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF VILLAGE COUNCIL OF VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH Pursu.irt to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the village council of the Village of Plymouth was held on July 11, 1966 at the Village Hall, 13800 State Highway No. 55, commencing at 7:30 o'clock P. M. The following members were present: Mayor Staples, Trustees O'Fallon, Hagen and Renner. The following members were absent: Trustee Hunt. Trustee Hagen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 66-108 WHEREAS, it is deemed desirable for the Village of Plymouth to have funds available for the acquisition of land within the village for public park purposes and, WHEREAS, from time to time desirable sites are becoming available which might be used for park purposes and, WHEREAS, the funds necessary to acquire such sites are not available from the ad valorem tax levies made within the village for park purposes and, WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to attempt to provide sufficient funds with which to acquire desirable land for park purposes, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH AS FOLLOWS: That there be submitted to the electorate of the Village of Plymouth at the general election to be held November 8, 1966, the proposition of whether or not the village shall sell its general obligations bonds in the sum of $100,000 J to be used for the acquisition of land for public park purposes. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mayor Staples and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Staples, 'Trustees O'Fallon, Hagen and Renner. The following voted against the same: None. The following were absent: Trustee Hunt. Whereupon the motion was declared duly passed and adopted. * STATE OF MINNESOTA ) COUNTY OF HENNEPIN ) ss. VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH) I, the unders4oned, being the duly qualified and acting clerk of the Villp,,e of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby certify that I have carefu3.y compared the attached and foregoing extract of minutes of a regular meering of the Village Council of said village held July 11, 1966, with the original thereof on file in my office and the same is a full, true and complete transcript therefrom insofar as the same relates to the issuance and sale of $100,000 general obligation bonds of the village.
