Adapted February 14, 1966
A Resolution Authorizing the Investment of Surplus Funds
Whereas, there is a balance in the general fund of the
Village of $125,000.00 and,
Whereas, there is a balance in the liquor store fund of
the Village in the sum of $42,000.00 and,
Whereas, it is desireable that said funds be invested
for short periods so that interest on said
moneys may be earned by the Village,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE
COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
1. That $125,000.00 of the general fund of the Village
be invested in 90 day Certificates of Deposit with
the First National Sank of Minneapolis upon deposit
by said bank of collateral in an amount equivalent
to the Certificates of Deposit.
2. That $42,000.00 of the liquor store fund to the
Village be invested in 90 day Certificates of Deposit
with the First National Bank of Minneapolis upon
deposit by said bank of collateral in an amount
equivalent to the Certificate of Deposit.
3. The Clerk -Administrator and the Treasurer are
directed to invest in said Certificates of Deposit
and to obtain proof of collateral as required. .
