VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH
HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNMOTA
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the
Village Council of the village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was duly held on the
4th day, of October, 1965, at the Village Hall, 13800 State Highway 55, com-
mencing at 7:30 o'clock P. M.
The following members were present: Mayor Staples, Trustees Curtis,
O'Fallon and Humphrey. The following members were absent: Trustee Saviour.
Trustee Humphrey introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO, 65-101
WHEREAS, the Chairman of the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners, the
Hon. Robert P. Janes, has raised objection to the expenditure of the entire
county allocation of Lake Improvement funds to Lake Minnetonka and has sug-
gested that some of the allocation be spent on other lakes within the county,and,
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, has for
some years been urging the County Board and others to make improvements to
lakes within the confines within the Village of Plymouth, most particularly
Medicine Lake, and
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth enthusiastically
supports Commissioner Janes in his suggestion that County Lake Improvement
funds be allocated on a county -ride basis rather than to one lake within the
county,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH AS FOLLOWS:
101. That the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth does
hereby extend its wholehearted support to Commidesioner
Janes in his concern about the allocation of Lake Improve-
ment funds within the county.
2. That said Village Council does strenuously urge the Hennepin
County Board of Commissioners to consider the problems of
Medicine Lake as being worthy of the expenditure of funds
for its improvement.0
Notion for adoption of the foregoitig resolution was duly seconded by
Trustee Curtis and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor
thereof: Mayor Staples, Trustees Curtis, O'Fallon and Humphrey. Against:
None. Absent: Trustee Saviour. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted.

I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting clerk of
the village of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby certify that I have carefully
compared the attached and foregoing extract of minutes of a regular meeting
of the Village Council of said Village held October 4, 1965 with the
original thereof on file in xV office and the same is a full, true and
complete transcript therefrom insofar as the same relates to allocation
of County Lake Improvement funds for lakes within the Village of Plymouth,
particularly Medicine Lake.
WITNESS, My hand officially as such clerk and the corporate seal
of the village this 4th day of October, 1965.
