HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1965-091Village of Plymouth Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 4th day of October, 1965, at the Village Hall. The following members were present: Mavor Staples, Trustees Curtis, "Fallon and Humphrey. and the following members were absent: Trustee Seviour. Mayor Staples introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 65-91 WHEREAS, Yr. H. T. Johnson, the Village Clerk, has indicated to the Council that he desires to retire from his municipal duties after many years of efficient, loyal and devoted service to the Town and Village of Plymouth and, WHEREAS, the Village Council has, as a consequence of Mr. Johnson's prospective retirement, been considering the employment of a qualified person to serve as Village Administrator and, WHEREAS, such position would be a newly established one for the Village and, WHEREAS, the Council has had numerous qualified applicants for such position, has interviewed several of said applicants and his agreed as to which of them should be engaged, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH: 1.. That the position of Village Administrator is hereby created and established and the Council shall adopt an Ordinance formalizing the establishment of such position, which Ordinance shall establish the areas of responsibility of said position. 2. That Mr. Paul E. Boog is hereby designated by the Village Council as the Village Administrator effective October 1, 1965. r The notion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Trustee Curtis and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Staples, Trustees Curtis, O'Fallon and Humphrey. The following voted against the same: None. The following were (absent) ( ): Trustee Seviour. whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
