HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1965-080TAX %Wor Staples introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improve- ment of the following streets, to -wit: See Schedule "A" attached by base work, grading and bituminous surfacing bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement. Amount of Bidder Total Aid _ Alexander Construction Co. $88,809.12 Dunkley Surfacing Co., Inc. 98,6:33.00 C. S. McCrossan, Inc. 103,4:21.84 and, WHEREAS, it appears that Alexander Construction Co. of Minneapolis, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THLRBBORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILiAGZ OF PLYMOUTH: 111, The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Alexander Construction Co. Of Minneapolis fnneso7a In the name of the VMage of Plymouthor xne 19provement of the following streets, to -wit: See Schedule "A" attached by base work, grading and bituminous surfacing according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the Village Council and on file in the office of the Village Clerk. 2. The Village Clerk is_ hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the 'deposits of the successful bidder and the next -lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed." The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Trustee _ofFallon and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Staples, Trustees Curtis, OfFallon and Seviour.
