Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the
Vi11tge- Council of the Vil]age .of Plymouth, Hinnesota, was Yield on the 24th

various -sections of Hennepin County with devastating force and destruction
with the resultant loss of life and property and catastrophic chaos, neces—
sitatin.; immediate warnings to reeidents in the affected areas,

"1. That Radio Station WCCO be paid the highest possibletribute
for its prompt action in dispensing with its regular radio
schedule (and not censitng until &11 dangir was past), concen-
trating an getting medical men to hospitals to attend the
injured, bringing separated families together, warning citizens
of the imminent danger to their lives and property — with the
conseauent saving of hundreds of lives.
2. That the ;;ouncil of the Village of Plymouth., representing the
entire citizenry of the Village, and _they, individually, wish
to Wdetid theii heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Radio Station
YIGCO for its humanitarian accomplishment through broadcast, in
V"W thin less of a catastrophe than it could well have been without
their efforts."
H4tion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Trustee Saviour''and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor
thereof: Mayor Staplas, Tswtees Curtis,.OlValloa and Seviour. Against -
