HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1965-029G r tau la TRACT OF MINUTES OF'RBMI AR MEETING OF VINTAGE COUNCIL OF VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held at the Village Hall at 13600 State Highway 55 on the 5th day of April, 1965, at 7:30 o'clock P. M. The Following members were present: Mayor Staples, Trustees Curtis, O+Fallon, Humphrey and Seviour. Absent: None. Trustee Humphrey introduced the following resolution and move4 its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 65-29 WHEREAS, due to the late spring and extra heavy snow fall during March, and WHEREAS, it appears that a heavy thaw is in prospect for the immediate few days and weeks, there could be some flooding of basements and other real property; MHEREAS the Fire Department of the Village of Plymouth has already received calls for assistance with flood problems by our citizens on an individual basis, and WHEREAS our Fire Department is on a volunteer basis calling upon our business men and their employees in event of fire, plus the fact that the Fire Equipment must be ready to respond immediately to a fire call, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH AS FOLIM: That all citizens of the Village of Plymouth be r equested to make every effort to protect their own property from water damage by clearing away pi.lesof snow from around their respective houses and buildings, and drain away any collec— tion of water on their premises so as not to cause a flooding condition; thereby each citizen will be assisting his Village during this spring thaw and high water period. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by 2%stee O'Fallon and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Staples, Trustees O'Fallon, Humphrey and Seviour. Abstained: Trustee Curtis. Against: None. Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
