e- ilk SOLUT ON AUTHORIZING DESPATCH AND USE OF FIRE DEPARTMENT

HE IT RESOLVED BY TPS COCNCi1, OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH A S FOLLOWS-
1. That the 1,ouncil finds that, instances have occurred in the past
and can be anticipated to occur in the future wherein there is
danger from firs, haaard, casualty and other similar cause to the Village of
Plymouth, its residents and the public generally within and without its
limits, by fire, hazard,• casualty or other similar occurrence taking place or
occurrin,; outside the territorial limits of the Village of Plymouth; and that
by',the,suddenness thereof it is impossible or impractical for the Council of
the Village of Plymouth to meet and a,=,ac:rize the despatch and use of Village
fire department equipment and personnel to combat such fire, hazard, casualty
or other similar occurrence,
2, The Council firms it is desirable wnd necessary, therefore, to author-
ize the Fire ;Chief of the Fire Department of the Village of Plymouth,,
.an4, in his absence or unavailability, the Assistant Chief, or Officer in
Charge, to act in such occasion. Accordingly, each of the above named officers
is hereby directed and authorized to exercise his own discretion, considering
at 3.1 times and in each case the internal needs of the Village of Plymouth and
its inhabitants, to despatch and use fire department equipment and personnel
of the Village of Plymouth in such place and for such time as he deems neces-
sary to combat succi fire, hazard, casualty or other similar occurrence to the
interests.of the Village of 31ly'mouth, whether such fire, hazard, casualty or
other similar occurrence takes place within or without the territorial. limits
of the Village of Plymouth; and it is hereby provided that such despatch and
us* &.e directed by such officer shall be fully authorized as an act of the
Village of Pl,�sauth, and all provisions for compensation of personnel, rwnt:pl
��por'eruipstertt, liability insurance coverage, workmW a compensation insuranre
of"t.ie Village of Plymouth and all other safeguards and matters pertaining to
the'Fir* 01paAment, its equipment and personnel shall apply in each and every
octh cas-4 ac if ,specifically authorized and directed by this Council at such
time' whether or"nat the governing body or authority of the place in which such
fire, hazard, casualty or other similar occurrence has previously requested and
provided Por fire protection and the use of the fire department equipment and
Pdrsonpel of the Village of Plymouth under a mutual protection agreement or
otkior,,ype'fire protection agreement with the ]lege of Plymouth. Further, such
s�ftiaer shall recall, order and terminate the use. of such equipment -and per-
sonnel from such place and at such time, when the need for their us*
shall no longer exist, or earlier, when it shall, in his discretion,
appear in the beat interests of the 'village of Plymouth that he do so.
