HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1965-003Pursuant -to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held at the Village Hall at 13800 State Highway No. 55 on the 4th day of January, 1965, at 7:30 o'clock P. M., Central Standard lime. The following members were present: Mayor Staples and Trustees Curtis, O'F'allon, Humphrey and Saviour and the following members were absent: None. Trustee O'Fallon introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: WHEREASi it appears from the operations of the Plymouth Liquor Municipal./Store a substantial portion of the capital expenditures required and necessary for the establishment of said store have been made and most of said items have been paid for, and WHEREAS, it further appears that there is approximately $58,000 in the Capital Expenditures Account, and WHEREAS, it would appear that a substantial portion of such cum will not he required in the immediate future for farther capital expenditures, NOW, THEREFORE;, HE IT HEMMY RESOLVED BY THE VIL"41C COMM. ,1. OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Village Treasurer shall forthwith purchase $50,0W in 60 day U. S. Government obligations and that said purchase shall be made from the Capital Expenditures Account of the Plymouth Municipal Liquor Store, 2. Said U. S. Government obligations shall be deposited for safekeeping in the Golden Valley State Bank, Golden Valley, Minnesota, the official depository of the funds of the Village of Plymouth. 3. That said U. S. Government obligations shall be con- sidered as being part of the Capital Expenditures Account of said Plymouth Municipal Liquor Store. The above motion was seconded by Trustee Humphrey and on vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Staples, Trustees Curtis, O'Fallon, Humphrey and Seviour.and the following voted against: None; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH) I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting clerk of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby certify that I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of minutes of a regular meeting of the Village Council of said village held January 4, 1965, with the original thereofonfile in my office and the same is a full, true and complete transcript therefrom insofar as the same relates to the purchase by the Village of Plymouth of $50,000 in U. S. Government obligations from the Capital Expenditures Account of the Plymouth Municipal Liquor Store.
