Resolution No.64-76
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting
of the Plymouth Village Council war, held at the Village Hall on
September 21, 1964, at 7:30 o'clrai-� P. M.
The following members were present: Mayor Staples, Trustees
Curtis, O'Fallon, Clifford and Humphrey; the following memt•3rs
were absent None.
Trustee Curtis introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption.
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Safety Council and the Police De-
partment of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, have been con-
ferring with respect to ways of making the village streets safer
for pedestrian use, and
THERKAg; certain streets and roadways within the Village
of Plymouth have been deemed to be particul-!r'7 hazardous to
pedestrians desiring to cross them, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of the
public health, safety and welfare of the Village of Plymouth that
steps be taken to make theme particular streets safer for
pedestrians, -,d
WHEREAS, the particular streets involved are either county
roads or state highways and require action and approval by the
County Highway Department and the State Highway Department,
respectively, before the appropriate safety measures can be
taken,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOws;
1. That the Hennepin County Highway Department be urged
to establish pedestrian crosswalks by the installation
of the appropriate signs and painted crosswalk markings
on the following county highways in the Village of
F. nouth:
a. The intersection of Hennepin Cornty Road #6 and
State Highway #101 at the Oakwood School.
b. The intersection of Hennepin County Road #15 and
Teakwood Lane, adjacent to the Sunset Hills School.
C. Hennepin County Road #154 at Charlies Tavern, leading
to a swimming beach area.
d. Hennepin County Road #70 at 17th Avenue North,
leading to a swimming beach area,
2. That the Minnesota State Highway Department be urged
to establish the appropriate pedestrian crosswalks
with signs and painted crosswalk markings on the
following state highways in the Village of Plymouth:
a. State Highway #101 at its intersection with Hennepin
County Road #6, adjacent to the Oakwood School site.
The abov6`*dtion was seconded by'Trustee Clifford and upon
vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Mayor Staples, Trustees Curtis, O'Fallon, Clifford and Humphrey;
the following voted against: None; whereupon said resolution was
declared duly passed and adopted.

I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting
clerk of Gild Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby certify that
I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of
minutes. of a regular sheeting of the Village Council of said village
held September 21, 1964, with the original thereof on file in say
office and the same is a full, true and complete transcript
therefrom insofar as the same relates to action taken at said
Council Meeting relative to pedestrian crosswalks.
WITNESS, My hand officially as such clerk and the corporate
seal of the village thio 21st day of September, 1964.
