HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1964-065a EXTRACT, OF MINUTS8 OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE, COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLnOM- HENNEPIb COMM, MIANESOrA Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, was duly held at tho Village Hall at 13800 State Highway No. 55 on the 14th day of September, 1964, at 7:30 o'clock P. M., Central Standard Time. The following members were present: Mayor Staples, Trustees Curtis, O'Fallon and Humphrey; and the following members were &*sent: Trustee Clifford. e V* *• 4 0 0• The Mayor announced that the Council would consider all bIAs for the purchase of $55,000 Strcet Improvement ids of 1M as advertised for sale. The Clerk gresented affidaoits slin img publics - tion of notice of sale more than ten days in advance of sale to the Minnetonka Herald, the official legal periodical of the Tillable, and in Commercial Hest, a financial paper published is Missespolis, Minnesota, which affidavits were examined and found to be ■atim- factory and ordered placed oa file. Thu Clerk presented the sealed bids which bad been delivered to him prior to the time specified Is the notice of sale, and said bids wase opened, examined and fovad to be as fellows; NAM OF BIDDER IMBUT NAM AM= OF DID Kalman h Company, Inc. 3.00% on all bonds maturing $66,000.00 1906 through 1070 inclusive plus additional interest at Total Interest 1.10% from April 1, 1965 through October 1, 1965 $ 6,905.60 lAblusive -la 14AME OF BIDDER INTEREST RATES AMOUINT OF BID Piper, Jaffray & Hopwood 3.00% on all bonds matur- ing 1966 through 1970 in- clusive plus additional interest at 1.60`x, from April 1, 1965 through October 1, 1965 inclusive Allison -Williams Com- 3.00% on all bonds w-tur- pany ing 1966 through 1970 in- clusive plus interest at the rate of 2% per annum $55,000.00 Total Interest $ 7,02500 Average Rate AMOUNT OF BID $55,000.00 Total Interest $ 7,122.50 Average Rate After due consideration of said bids, Trumtee Curtis introduced the following resolution and moved ite adoption: RESOLUTION 64- 65 RESOLUTION AWARDING THE SALE OF $55,000 STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS OF 1964 BE IT RESOLVED BY the Village Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The bid of Kalman & Company, Inc., to purchase $55,000 Street Improvement Bonds of 1964 of the village de- scribed in the notice of sale thereof is hereby found and de- termined to be the highest and beat bid received pursuant to duly advertised notice of sale and cnall bre and hereby is accepted, said bid being to purchase bonds bearing interest as follows: bonds maturingin the years 1988 through 1970, inclusive, 3.00% per annum; plus additional inter3st on all bonds at the rate of 1.40% per annum for the period from April 1, 1965 to October 1, 1965, represented by a separate coupon, at a price of $55,000.00. The Village Trea3urer is directed to retain the good faith check of the successful bidder pendicg completion of the sale and delivery of the bonds, and the Village Clerk is directed to return the checks of the unsuccessful bidders forthwith. -2-
