Resolution No. 64-- 33
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting
Of time Tillage Council of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota was
hold on the 18th day of May, 1964 at the Village Hall, commencing
at 7;3O o'clock P. M.
The following members were present: Mayor Staples, Trustees
Curtis, O'Fallon, Clifford and Humphrey; and the following members
were abannt : None.

Tr atee cu rtf � introduced the follow -tag Resolution and
moved its adoptio,:
MHRRRASj considerable traffic congestion has developed and
is oaacurring at the intersections of Minnesota Trunk Highway
No. 55 and County State Aid Highways Nos. 7O and 154, and
WXEMS, from traffic surveys which have been made with re-
spect to these intersections, it has been determined that the
highest volume of automobile accidents within the Village of
Plymouth have been occurring at these intersections, and
4MUM8, representatives of the Minnesota Highway Department,
the Hennepin County Highway Department and officials of the Village
of Plymouth have not and conducted a field inspection of such
intersections, and
WHSRRAS, it appears desirabL.. that numerous changes be made
with respect to said intersections for the purpose of rendering
then more safe for motorists and thereby reducing the n=ber of
accidents occurring at said intersections,
NOW, TMUNFORS, THE VILIAGE COM1CIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH
DUSK BERM RB8M!% AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Ron pin County Hoard of Commissioners is
urged to make the following improvements with respect
to said intersections:
a. Raise the grade line of County State Aid Highway
No. 70 on the North side of Minnesota Trunk Highway
No. 55 to improve vis'.bility in connection with
traffic traveling in a Westerly direction on
Minnesota Trunk Highway No. 55.
b. Construct approaches on County State Aid Highway
No. 154 both North and South of its intersection
with Minnesota ;'gunk Highway No. 55 to a grade
level which will provide ;;rester visibility at
such intersection.
c. Paint double yellow lines on County State Aid
Highway NO. 70 South of Minnesota Trunk Highway
No. 55 to County State Aid Highway No. 73.
y. That the Village Clerk be authorized and directed to
send s certified copy of this Resolution to said
Hennepin County Board of Commissioners.
The motion for the adoption of the fo7agoing Resolution was
duly seconded by Truster; C, I Fylltin and upon vote being taken
there or~ , the following voted in favor thereof: payor Staples,
trustees Curtis, Olyallon, ltwaphray and Clifford.

whereupon said motion was declared duly passed and adopted.

1, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting
clerk of the Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby certify that
I have carefully compared the attached and foregoing extract of
minutest of a regular meeting of the Village Council of said
village held May 18, 1964, with the original thereof on file in
my office and the same is a full, true and complete transcript
therefrom insofar an the same relates to traffic congestion at
the intersections of Minnesota Trunk Highway No. 55 and County
State Aid Highways Nos. 70 and I.M.
WITNESS, My hand officially as such clerk and the corporate
