Johnson, Village Glerk VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH REBOLUTION 614--1 Trustee O'Fal.lon introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoptions XHERAfi, under the Statutes of the State of Minnesota, a municipality which qualifies for the establislaaent of a municipal liquor dispensary and does establish such a dispensary may not issue licenses for the dispensation of intoxicating liquors to private persons and, WHMM, it is deemed to be in the beat interests of the Village of Plymouth that said Village be legally entitled to establish aa`off-sale" municipal liquor dispensary for the dispensing of intoxicating liquore to the general public and at the same time be legally entitled to provide for the "on sale" dispensing of intoxicating liquors to the general public by private persons properly licensed by the Village and, WHMAS, the Honorable John A. Yngve, State Representative for the 31st Legislative District has indicated his willingaeas to introduce legislation which would permit the Village of Plymouth to dispense in- toxicating liquors "off -sale" by meand of a municipal liquor dispensary while simultaneously being able to grant "on -sale" intoxicating liquor licenses to private persons, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL JF THE VILLAGE OF PLYMOUTH AS F=OWS s 1. That it is deemed to be in the best interests of the Village of Plymouth that said Village be entitled to dispense intoxicating liquors "off --sale" through a municipal dispensary while simultaneously being entitled to issue " on -sale" intoxicating liquor licenses to private persoas. 2. That the Honorable John A. Yngve is urged to introduce the appropriate legislation in the House of Representatives during the 1965 Session of the Legislature of the State of Minisesota which would make it possible for the Village of Plymouth to accomplish this objective." Above Resolution was deoonded by Trustee Humphrey and upon mote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Staples, Trustees Oe Fallon, Humphrey and Clifford.
