1ltyor Staples introduced the following resolution and moved its adoptions

W MEAS, Chapter 282 of the 1963 Minnesota Session Laws permit Minnesota
Villages to take a odd -decade census in 1965 for the purpose of obtaining a
reallocation of state cigarette and liquor tax allotments, ww
WHWA3, said std -decade census must be taken wader the auspices and direction
of the Federal Bureau of the Census, and
ffUW3P by reason of Population growth in the Village of Plynouth since
the Last decennial census in 1960, it is doomed to be desirable for the Village
of Plymouth to oonsider the taking of such a i d -decade census;
NOW THEfLMU, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF PLIKOUTHs
That the Village Clark be authorised and directed to ausseunicate with
the Moral Director of the Comma, Wasdinsgtons D. C. , 202338
requesting an estimate of the cost of conducting such census for the Villags
Of Plywutb and indicating to said Director of the Census an apAraodmate
population growth of the VLIU#e of Plymoath of 2,500 persons mime the 3L%o
deeesutial census.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was didy
seconded by Trustee Clifford and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
vastd in favor thersofs Mayor Staples, Trustees Curtis, OlFallon, Humphrey,
and Clifford. Againsts None. Whereupon the notion was declared duly passed
and adopted. Datedsdsnuary 13, 1964.

Village of Plymouth, Minnesota, hereby certify that I have carefully compared
the attached and foregoing extract of minutes of a regular meeting of the Village
Council and said village hold an January 13, 1964, with the origiol thereof
an file in my offYse a nd the same is a full# true sed complete transcript thers-
fron insofar as the same relates to directing the Village Clark to request an
estimate of the cost of a 1965 mid -decade census of the Village.
