Wayzata School District 284 210 County Road 101 North P.O. Box 660 Wayzata, MN 55391 Dear Dr. Beilfuss: (I --2b. 2) I am writing to request that School District 284 appoint an individual to serve as a member of the Plymouth Human Rights Commission. The Commission is comprised of 15 members (seven residents from the community, four students, and four members representing each of the City's school districts.) Art Johnson, former principal of Greenwood Elementary School, has served as the District 284 representative to the Human Rights Commission for the past several years. He resigned from the Commission when he retired this summer. We have received notice that Ginny Clark has expressed interest in serving as the District 284 representative to the Human Rights Commission. I understand that Ginny has the position of Director of Staff Development and will be assigned some duties relating to diversity beginning with the upcoming school year. While the school representatives are full voting members of the Human Rights Commission, their most important role is serving in an advisory capacity to the Commission on issues relating to the District. They also serve as the primary liaison for communication between the District and the Human Rights Commission. I would appreciate receiving your decision, which I will share with the City Council and the Human Rights Commission. Thank you.
